Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen is back in the spotlight as a new film, The Social Reckoning, reaches cinemas and streamers. Starring Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White, the film dramatises her decision to reveal what the company knew internally.
Haugen told reporters she has "extreme worry" about a change in direction at Meta and believes Zuckerberg is making risky bets with AI. She said she hopes the film moves others to come forward, telling The Verge she wants it to spark a new wave of insiders speaking out.
